C40 Cities - We Live Here Together
I worked with NGO C40 cities to create a digital and printed campaign for their sixth biennial C40 Mayors Summit in Mexico City in December 2016. C40 connects more than 85 of the world’s greatest cities, representing 650+ million people and one quarter of the global economy. Created and led by cities, C40 is focused on tackling climate change and driving urban action that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and climate risks, while increasing the health, wellbeing and economic opportunities of urban citizens.
I created a printed book and digital animated campaign for the summit. I created a motif for each city featured in the book, using iconic landmarks for each city in a circle to represent unity and togetherness.
The book tells the stories of how the mayors of six of the world’s leading cities are working together, under the auspices of NGO C40, to address climate change to help create a sustainable future for all. Printed on recycled, FSC paper with non toxic ink, the book was given out at the Mayors Summit, and was re-printed for another campaign directed by Portland’s mayor, one of the subjects of the book.
The aim of this work is to raise the profile of mayors who are successfully considering social equity and climate action in an integrated way, and to inspire other cities and show other mayors how to make the case for and deliver inclusive climate action.
